Bailey Bug Tees it Up

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005

Here’s Bailey on her first trip out to the golf course!

The course has been empty lately since the greens are in such bad shape… but it gives Amy & I a chance to hang out and get some fresh air. Both yesterday and today we were able to get in roughly 14 holes before dark…

Bailey either loves being out on the golf course, or loves being held in a sling… I’m not sure which.

As long as she’s close to someone (on their chest), she’s quite content and happy (or should I say “nappy?”).

If only I could figure out a way to swing a club and hold the Booger, I’d be set. Maybe a the basis for a hot new golf product… the Swing Sling???

Portrait with Pansies

After getting back from Dallas, it was time for some yardwork. Here’s Bailey at ten weeks in the yard posing in front of newly planted pansies:

I’ll give the pansies a full week before they start turning brown.

After the funeral and the meal, we travelled back out to the funeral site.

Post Funeral

After the funeral, the church had prepared a meal and a place for the family members to gather. I wanted to take a shot of all the food but would have needed a panoramic lens.

Here are Darren, Jason & I:

Momma King

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005

For those of you who don’t know, my Grandmother (Momma King) passed away early morning September 20th. Mom and Aunt Karen were with her in her last moments. It’s definitely a sad time for our family… though it’s comforting to know Momma King’s now in a happier place.

I flew down to Dallas to attend the funeral. Here we are in Mom & Dad King’s place gathering for dinner the evening before the funeral (Aunt Darla with Daddy King):
